Google Closes On2 Acquisition for $124.6 Million (PC World)

Google has ended its acquisition of video-compression-technology vendor On2 Technologies, boosting its efforts in online video.

The care winking after gaining support from On2 shareholders and was valued at US$124.6 million, Google said in a short evidence New Friday. The amount was most $18 meg more than the continuance expressed when the companies declared the acquisition terminal year.

On2 provides recording densification technologies for ambulatory video, embedded devices, Adobe Flash Player and VoIP (voice over cyberspace Protocol). Its customers allow Skype, Nokia, Sony and Adobe, according to its Web site.
